Review: Melvita All New Nectar Pur Range

Morning sugar bunnies ♥  I've been searching for a good skincare line/brand for my face for a long time and finding a suitable one is not easy at all! My skin condition is very troublesome, I have oily and sensitive skin at the same time. I've tried a lot of skincare brands and to my despair, many of them didn't work on me.

If you don't know Melvita yet, here is a brief explanation! Melvita was founded in 1983 by French biologist and beekeeper, Bernard Chevilliat. They are also one of the pioneers in the world to gain the French ECOCERT and BIO certificates for organic products.

I'm very lucky because I've found a organic skincare brand that is suitable for my skin! Melvita's Nectar Pur® is created for people with combination and oily skin that would help purify, regulate and mattify the skin especially in this hot and humid weather! The two main ingredient in this range are peppermint and wasabi.

Peppermint: Contains essential oil compound that helps limit the development of bacteria responsible for blemishes.
Wasabi: Helps to prevent the invasion of bacteria to protect the skin.

The Nectar Pur® collection consists of Purifying Cleansing Jelly to cleanse and purify oily skin; Mattifying Balancing Fluid to give a moisturized, purified, matte finish; and Purifying Roll-On combining lavender, tea tree, citrus and lemon essential oils with birch sap, propolis and anti-inflammatory alpha-bisabolol to target blemishes. I only manage to get two out of the three items and I have been using them for more than a month!

This cleansing gel is enriched with purifying active ingredients that help balance, cleanses and purify the skin. There is also Zinc extract to regulates sebum production to make sure the skin is shine-free all day!

Usage instructions: Apply the foaming gel to damp face in the morning and evening. Work into a lather and massage gently over the face and neck, then rinse with warm water.

I really love this cleansing jelly, it is really light and refreshing! You can literally feel the grease and grime being remove from your skin. My skin feels so fresh and clean yet still moisturize at the same time. Don't worry about the wasabi extract, it doesn't burn your skin! However, the scent of this cleanser smells very "vegetables", it feels weird for the first few time and don't worry about the scent, it doesn't stay long!

The Mattifying Balancing Fluid is a fresh, light and non-oily emulsion that helps purify and mattify the complexion. The Peppermint hydrolat combined with wasabi extract and zinc helps to restore the balance of skin flora and contributes to the elimination of excess sebum.

Usage instructions: Apply morning and evening to clean, dry face and neck, avoiding the eye area and focusing on the T-zone.

I personally think that the price is a bit steep but after using it, it's a great primer! It's a little bit more like cream than fluid to me. A little of it is enough for my whole face, you don't have to apply much. The fluid is immediately absorbed and it leaves behind a soft, powdery finish. I use it after my toner then complete it with a moisturizer and sun block. After a whole day, my skin wasn't that oily like it used to be.

Rating: 

After using these products for more than a month, my skin condition have improved and I don't have much breakouts anymore. If you are looking for a good and organic skincare, Melvita is a good choice! I've tried a few Melvita products and they really do the job well!
