Maybank GO Ahead Challenge
MGAC is Maybank's award-winning talent search and recruitment competition where they are searching for the brightest and best young minds from 14 countries across the world to have the chance at a high-flying career in the banking and financial services industry. The competition is an action-packed, multi-disciplinary fusion of business case study, mental and physical challenges. For past years, it has been a business-oriented competition and this year is definitely an exception because they have gone beyond towards 'international case' challenge! "The inaugural MGAC in 2012 was opened to six countries, this year it is expanding to 14 countries including UK and US. The number of nationalities participating in the various stages grew from 10 in 2012, to 20 nationalities last year. This year we expect to have over 20 nationalities. Given that Maybank Group has a larger presence in the Asian region and it is the region where we have a niche leadership, MGAC continues to be opened to countries in ASEAN and the rest of Asia. "

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER?
This competition is open to anyone living, studying, or residing in the following 14 eligible countries across the region and worldwide where Maybank enjoys considerable presence:
Malaysia | Cambodia | China | Hong Kong | Indonesia | Laos | Myammar | Philippines | Singapore | Thailand | Vietnam | Brunei | United Kingdom | United States
• Open to penultimate and final year students and recent graduates with strong academic records - with minimum CGPA of 3.0 over 4.0 or equivalent from any discipline
• Final year students or graduates of ALL DEGREES
• Able to apply individually or in teams up to 5 people.
Those who apply individually will be placed in teams if they make it to the International Grand Final
WHAT ARE THE PRIZES?
Candidates will compete individually and in team, will stand a chance to make it to the international grand finals to WIN A TOTAL CASH PRIZES OF USD$72,000!
Besides that, the highest individual score will be crowned as the Ultimate GO Ahead Challenger (individual winner) and will be awarded with USD 1,000 CASH and 2 weeks internship experience at Maybank in New York. As for second and third-highest scoring individuals; they will obtain a 2 weeks internship at Maybank in London plus USD$750, and a 2 weeks internship at Maybank in Hong Kong with USD$500 respectively.
Both the Champion Team and the Ultimate GO Ahead. Challenger will win exclusive participation in Maybank's Global Leadership Development Programme with the Bank's most influential top 50 leaders, to exchange ideas, engage in intellectual discourse and share their thoughts.
This year, a special prize will be award to the FAVOURITE CHALLENGER as determined by public vote.
